To organise and run the Trust’s annual Dual Diagnosis conference.
Knowing that this conference would be highly subscribed our first point of call was to find a venue that was large enough to accommodate the expected numbers, it was imperative that the venue had parking, was easily accessible via public transport and was wheelchair friendly. We went with Somerdale Pavillion which just on the outskirts of Bristol. Our next steps – delegate coordination, logistical planning, facilitator management and creation of conference content. On the day itself we had a team running the registration desk as well as helping the venue with set-up and take down.
Overall the conference ran smoothly. There were a couple of technical issues that caused a slight delay to the schedule but these were fixed with minimal disruption and as always, a professional attitude. The delegates were attended to in a polite manner and we were on hand throughout the whole conference to make sure that everything behind the scenes ran seamlessly.
